Phonics Work
Fabulous phonics today from all the children, showing amazing letter writing., working hard with tricky words.
We enjoyed working out of words were real or fake.
Some of the class were matching the alphabet to the pictures.

Literacy
Lots of phonics fun today.
Some children were learning g the new sound ‘j’.
Some of us worked on learning their tricky words by using the glitter and a paint brush to write.
P1 at Play
Lots of busy play over the past couple of days. We have enjoyed having access to the sunshine room to explore different play options!
Dinosaur Adventures!
Today we took our dinosaurs for an adventure into the playground.
We had to show them round and take note of what they did and where they went. We will use this during our writing lesson tomorrow.
Literacy
Today we used our reading rotations to explore our story ‘Harry and the Bucketful of Dinosaurs’.
We explored different dinosaur books to sound spot, built houses for our dinos, labelled and coloured dinosaurs and used our tuff try dino land!
Lots of rich discussion and fun play!
Fabulous Day
We had a fabulous first day back in the classroom. We explored all the new elements to our classroom and started our new book too!
Cook Along
P1 took part in a cook along today with Ms Honey and made cupcakes!

Remote Learning
Primary one continue to work hard remotely.
We used Oi Frog! to look at our likes and dislikes in the story and say why we felt that way. Used ten frames to help us to add and went out to birdwatch!
