P7 went tree planting at Gartmorn Dam with representatives John and Barbara from the Development Trust and Aimee from TCV, alongside some other volunteers. They planted the Gartmorn Dam’s first community orchard trees, bulbs to attract pollinators, and positioned a hedgehog house. They also carried out an Autumnal scavenger hunt which helped learners identify different trees and plants and learn about mushrooms. Our learners also foraged and had a campfire where they toasted marshmallows.
