Legal Age Posters
In Primary 7 we have been learning about the legal ages to do certain things in Scotland and in other parts of the U.K. and worldwide. We researched what a ‘legal age’ was and some important legal ages and we then made some posters to raise awareness of the Legal ages.
Here are some of the posters, for example – BUY A HOUSE . This one tells your information about the age you need to be to buy a house.
This one \/ says that you have to be 16 to join the military by free choice. You can join earlier if your parents give consent.
This one says the different legal ages for different marvel movies.\/
Wanessa created a guide to inform people what a legal age is and some important legal ages everyone needs to know. Click on her picture to find out more!
So as you can see there is many different things with legal ages, some you might not have expected. Have a look at the rest of our posters below:
What legal ages can you find, comment down below \/.

Person I Respect Presentation
In P7F, we have been thinking about people we respect and why. Part of this is that we were given homework to create a short presentation about a specific person we respected, which could be a person who we know personally, an important person in history or someone who we don’t personally but we respect a lot. We got to choose which way we wanted to display it – through a PowerPoint or a poster.
These are some people that people respect:
- Our family members – mums, dads, brothers and sisters
- Andres Iniesta
- Fall Out Boy
- Alex Ferguson
- Mr. Flett
These are some of the reasons we gave to why we respect them:
- They’re kind
- They help people
- They work hard
- They give it their all
- They help charity
- They want the best for other people
Who do you respect and why?

Dream Holiday
On the 4th of may we did writing on what our ‘Dream Holiday’ would be like. We had lots of different ideas – we had Shelly land, Imaginary land, The ultimate tree house, the first room of Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory, Asgard, Hawaii and Gumbo Jumbo land. These are just some of the place are stories where set. We have been developing our personal writing and trying to include a good-quality vocabulary, sophisticated connectives and openers, and a range of accurate punctuation. These are three of the the stories that we created.
Above is Ben McGregor’s story. he did it on Imaginary land.
This is Wanessa’s story, set in the magical ‘Shelly land’.
And above is Kieron’s story visiting the ultimate tree house.
Every one had a great time writing their stories.

Andy Kennedy Films
Every Wednesday a man called Andy Kennedy from Scottish Film Education has come to visit the class and teach us about stop motion and other filming skills such as shots, audio and direction.
(you can find out more about Scottish Film Education here: http://scottishfilm.education/ )
I love how we do what we want with stop motion – we are beginning a project on stop motion animation where we have created a ‘character’ in groups and decided on something that is going to happen to them which will make them ‘change’.
Also, shhh, don’t tell anyone but we’re about to put our skills in to action and make a movie for Mrs Lavery who happens to be retiring.
