It is lovely to think that we are all under the same sky even though we may be far away from those we care about and miss.
Use a calendar and clock to check the date and time.
Inside and outside look up to the sky!
Talk about what you see:
- colours, shapes, movements, position of the sun (never look directly at the sun)
Think and wonder why you:
- feel, hear, smell and possibly even taste something!
Talk about what you see think and wonder in this book.
Write lists of describing words, adjectives to use when you write about the sky.
Can you collect some photographs of the sky between 10 o’clock and 12 noon and share with your teacher?
I have just looked out my window at the sky. My clouds are amazing today Ms Rossvoll. They are not white and puffy, but still beautiful and dramatic. They are different shades of grey with the sun trying to peep through in glowing white. There are very strange shapes too. Some are long like a streak and some like raggedy mounds.
They sound beautiful. I think that the clouds over here are like a thick fleece blanket in shades of light blue, purple, white and grey with a warm yellow edge. (on the skyline) Isn’t it amazing that we are under the same sky and seeing such different formations.
