Hello Everyone,
Over the last two weeks, we have seen a range of Health Heroes that I am sure we have all taken something away from. I am so glad you have enjoyed tuning in each day to find out who we have had.
I’d like to round up our Health Heroes campaign with I am sure you will all agree Heroes that in my eyes are Heroes every minute of our day and lives: the NHS.
Please find below a video from Mrs Anne-Marie McGrath ( Ruairidh and Eilidh’s mum) who throughout her night shift at Aberdeen Hospital was able to record this for us.Β I would like to personally thank her for taking the time to record this video for us on behalf of herself, Aberdeen Hospital and the wider community of NHS staff.
WIthin in our school and wider community we have a range of key workers and NHS workers who we would like to dedicate this post to for all their hard work during this time.
When we clap tonight as we do every Thursday, we clap for a wide range of NHS and key workers, as Anne-Marie says in her video boys and girls give yourself a clap too!
We also have another set of Health Heroes, Alex and Adam McDonald participated in a WorldΒ Sepsis Awareness video at Aberdeen Hospital that they would like to share with you. Well Done Boys.
Fantatsic videos from 2 of Methlick’s own families. Thank you Mrs McGrath for talking the time to talk to us. So great to hear from an NHS frontline worker but also to hear from you as a mum.
Alex and Adam- fabulous to see you involved in explaining and helping famiies understand such an important topic. You were super.
A wonderful ending to our health heroes. π
WOW! GREAT video mum.
You must be very proud of mum. I had a wee tear in my eye during this video. Thank you Anne-Marie and all those hard working essential workers out there. Thank you all (I know P3 have a few) We will see you all soon.
Absolutely and filmed around 4am! I think it is wonderful that she is asking all of the children to clap for themselves tonight because you have helped so much by staying at home! Thank you SO much Mrs McGrath and Alex and Adam – superb way to end the fortnight!
well done Anne-marie
I have learned so much from your video. Such clear explanations. Thank you so much for sharing this.

What wonderful videos from Mrs McGrath, Alex and Adam.
Getting 2 very important messages across.
I will most definitely be out again tonight supporting everyone involved in keeping us safe and looking after us.
Well done Anne-Marie , you’re doing a great job and my family will be clapping for all of the Nhs and all of the key worker staff tonight at 8.00 pm x π
Thank you Mrs McGrath for sharing this special insight of your work during this time. Thank you Alex and Adam for that educational video. Excellent and wonderful videos to end up the fortnight π
Really brilliant! we both loved the videos
Lovely to hear from you both, glad you enjoyed the videos !
Thank you so much for sharing this with us, Mrs McGrath. We appreciate everything you and all the other key workers are doing during this challenging situation. Adam and Alex – thank you both for teaching us about sepsis. Excellent job, everyone. ππ
What a fantastic opportunity to hear first hand from someone on the front line. Thank you Mrs McGrath for going above and beyond to share this information with us. I hadn’t yet considered the loss of those personal bedside conversations you are missing with your patients. I’m sure the day when you will be able to have a conversation with a patient, without a mask on, will be a moment to remember. Thank you for your positive message! Great work Adam and Alex, I’ve learned so much about sepsis. What a creative pair you are!
Yesterday I could not see this because we had 2 power cuts π
Thank you Anne-Marie for this video. Well done Alex and Adam for taking about sepsis. Its a good one to end for the people that are worried. :):):)
Thank you for making this video Anne-Marie it was really good. I liked Alex and Adams video as well.
