Celebrate International Day of Biodiversity and get pupils prepped to take part in one of the BBC micro:bit playground survey activities at the same time. We’ll make a biodiversity counter which your class can use later in the day to investigate biodiversity in your school playground. So get your micro:bits out of the box and register for a fun 45 minute session with your class. Suitable for ages 8 – 11 years.

Great news! You are now able to access Minecraft Education Edition on your Chromebooks as well as your iPad and Windows machines. Simply click on the Google Play Store icon on the bottom toolbar and then select Minecraft in the box that comes up, to instal on your machine. All 3 year olds in Scotland are gifted a BookBug Explorer bag by the Scottish Book Trust. We were given a spare 2023/24 bag by the library service and I got to work making up a digital activity for each of the books in there. Click on the link to access the activities. We have added another session to our CLPL offering. Come and join us for a day of learning! In the morning, Dave and Manny from Edpuzzle will show you how to use this resource which is free for all Aberdeenshire schools this session. Edpuzzle is a digital learning platform that allows teachers to create and share interactive videos with their students. Teachers can add questions, annotations, and feedback into videos.
Be Internet Legends Day 2023 is next week. This year’s event on Tuesday 28 November at 9.30am will celebrate Kindness online with interactive challenges and shout-outs for your school to get stuck into.
