The Fairtrade Reps met last week to prepare for Fairtrade Fortnight, which starts on February 27th.
Primary 6 are planning to make Fairtrade truffles and hold a coffee afternoon for parents. Mrs Fisher said that a Fairtrade farmer from Malawi would be coming to Huntly over the fortnight, and she was hoping he would be able to come into school to talk to us about Fairtrade.
We are hoping to open a Fairtrade bank account and start a Fairtrade tuckshop.
The Slogan for Fairtrade fortnight this year is “Take a Step for Fairtrade” and the school is planning to create a trail of Fairtrade footsteps around Gordon Primary.
