Fairtrade fortnight begins on the 27th of February. Fairtrade is trying to collect footsteps. Each step supports farmers and workers to take their own steps for a brighter future. Their target is 1,500,000 footsteps and so far they have collected around 11,000 and they still need to collect 1,489,000 feet! At Gordon Primary School we want to help get at least 1,000 footsteps and we would like all families to take part. We would like everybody to join in no matter how old or how young you are. Here is what you do: 1) Draw around your foot. 2) Stick a wrapper or label from a Fairtrade product onto the foot you have drawn. 3) Cut it out. 4) Write your name clearly on the front and send it to school. We are going to make a trail of them around the school. Then we will count and let Fairtrade know how many footsteps we have collected. We hope you join in.
