On Friday we went to ICT and we did research on Brechin, Arbroath and Forfar.  We learned about landmarks and made coordinate grids to show where these landmarks are.  We learned how to use maps and grid references.  By Pyper, Ryan and Klara.

In the ICT room we used Google Earth as a tool;

• to find given landmarks in Angus
• to find our own houses
• to locate other areas of interest

In the classroom we:-

• used simple grid referencing to identify key features and landmarks on Angus town maps
•  used a simple key to identify key features on the maps
