Southesk’s Family Learning Lounge is in development in line with the Pupil Equity Funding (PEF)
In our Family Learning Lounge, we are currently providing:
- Learn, Laugh, Play
- Adult Learning
- Sunshine Group
- Homestart
- Parental Workshops
Our Senior Leadership Team and Principal Teacher (PEF) Mrs McFarlane are working with our partners in the local community to provide services/groups which will benefit our pupils and their families.
This short video details the work of the Brechin and Montrose Communities Team who work with us on some of our Learning Lounge projects and with who we are continually discussing new ideas with.
Learn, Laugh, Play
Tuesday 9.15 – 10.45
This group is aimed at pre-school children and their family. This group promotes fun learning activities and develops gross/fine motor skills through play. These sessions are free, fun and relaxed for parents/carers and their children from 0-5.

Adult Learning Drop-in
Thursday – 9.15 – 11.15
This group is aimed at any of our parents/carers who like any support in gaining qualifications, writing CVs, improving reading, writing or mathematical skills and much more. They can also offer support in using computers/tablets/mobile phones.
