Had fun today discovering what happened when we dissolved yeast and sugar in warm water. We watched a balloon inflate as it filled with carbon dioxide.
(Apologies for photos being on their side. Couldn’t right them for the life of me!)
Very proud of all our enthusiastic runners. Especially proud of our P6 girls in picking up the team bronze. Our best result ever in this event. No mean feat for our small school!
Learning new skills with Susan the tennis coach. Brilliant afternoon in lovely setting. Thanks to the residents for the use of the courts.
P5/6 having a well-earned rest after an great effort running through Backmuir Woods!!
Here is Primary 2/3’s health week timetable!
We have been learning about the main human body organs and their functions in P2/3. We used tissue paper to create a life sized diagram of where each human organ is located within the body. We also labelled where each organ is on our life-sized human body diagram.
We have been learning about the different organs in our bodies, their locations and their functions. We were definitely most intrigued by the intestines, especially the amount that is fitted inside of us! We labelled a diagram and used this to help us with a colour coded picture of our bodies.
As part of our topic on the five senses, we have been learning about the sense of taste. We looked at the different parts of our body which help us to taste, and tried to differentiate between the tastes of sweet, sour, bitter and salty. We had a pretty high success rate, as well as lots of fun tasting and identifying!
