Last week pupils from Miss Warden’s Prince’s Trust Class were presented with a donation of over £300 from students of Angus College.  The students are part of an Introduction to Uniform Services course, and had completed a sponsored run across the Tay Bridge (dressed as bananas and monkeys!) in order to raise the money, led by Lecturer Steve Oakley.  The Prince’s Trust pupils were very grateful to receive the money, and will use it to fund a residential trip in the near future.   

Congratulations to our Curling Team, who took part in the Hay Competition – at Dewar’s Ice Rink in Perth – for the first time. Twenty teams entered the event and the team from AHS won their way through to the final beating teams from Mary Erskine’s School, Beath HS and Lockerbie HS on the way. The team then produced one last excellent performance to defeat local favourites Perth HS by a score of 6-3 to win the competition.

The team of Robert Fawns (Skip), Thomas Halder (3^rd), Craig Cameron (2^nd) and Ben Bremner (Lead) will now move forward to defend their crown as Scottish Schools Champions, having already won their opening two matches in the competition.
