Books, Books, Books!

As well as reading our class novel, ‘The Christmasaurus’ we have been enjoying different ways of reading in class!

We read with Mr. Small and Mrs. Innes on Monday and Tuesday, taking turns to read aloud and answer questions.

On Wednesday we do Paired Reading with our shoulder partner at our tables. It is really nice to hear the other stories that others in class are reading. We use our SUPERHERO cards to ask one another questions about our books!

On Thursday we read independently and answer comprehension questions about our book. We use technology to do this- it is new and exciting and we are developing our skills!

Friday 30th October, 2020.

What a busy week we have had! Well done to Odafe as our Pupil of the Week!

Well done to our Playground Star: Alisha! 🙂

This term we are reading:

It’s never too early for Christmas! We have loved beginning this novel in class and have been creating some landscapes and pictures about the novel. We have been using adjectives to describe our pictures.

This term we are learning Makaton and have began to learn ‘How Far I’ll Go’ from Moana in Makaton! We are learning about what Makaton is, who uses it and why it is important!

House Points update to come next Friday!

Have a lovely weekend.
