Phonics
Continue to revise the sounds from last week.
As the weather is so good this is a great opportunity to get outdoors and engage in some fun spelling activities. For example writing spelling words on the ground with chalk or using paint brushes and water. Children can also use natural resources to make the sound (e.g. create the ch sound using sticks, stones and flowers). These type of activities will be both sensory and memorable for your child and will help reinforce learning.

Reading
All books should be returned this week and no books will be issued this week. However if you wish to work on reading during the holidays it is useful to go over key words on word wall.
