P6-7 ASSEMBLIES MAR-APR
Our recent assemblies have included:
- completing the story of ‘Avenger’ by Pete Johnson. Jake has been bullying Gareth, turning almost the whole school against him. Gareth then turns the tables on him by exposing Jake as a liar and subjecting Jake to the same treatment as Gareth experienced. But, as we discussed, do two wrongs make a right? This story helped us consider including everyone and respecting everyone’s feelings.
- respecting people’s beliefs by learning about the Hindu festival of Holi
- enjoying watching and listening to P6/7 as they shared their achievements when learning about charities and responsible citizenship
- discussing ‘peer pressure’ and being responsible for our actions
