Primary 6 had a visit today from our Police Scotland School Liaison Officer – Seb Cook.
He came to give us all a better understanding of what alcohol is and the influence it can have on people. We were also reminded of what to do in an emergency situation involving alcohol or otherwise.
Yesterday, all the P6’s from Fernielea took part in a cricket festival at Aberdeenshire Cricket Club.
We had a brilliant time, putting our newly learned skills into practice during our matches. It was great getting to meet other P6’s from local schools too!
This week, Primary 6B took part in the Aberdeen Music Festival Competition at the Beach Ballroom. We worked really hard to perfect our songs with the guidance of our Singing Instructor, Mr Thomson.
After we performed, we were delighted to be announced the winners from our division and received the highest grading of ‘Outstanding’. We even received a certificate and a trophy!
Primary 6 were improving their First Aid understanding today! We learned all about different stings, burns, allergic reactions and cuts. We now know what to do if we need to help someone that is hurt in one of these ways.
We also learned how to correctly put on a bandage and sling! We have gained lots of new knowledge and skills, as well as having lots of fun too!
