On Wednesday 21st December P5 took part in a K’NEX workshop. Pupils were asked to create a Christmas decoration or present using the K’NEX pieces. Each piece costed a certain amount and groups were given a budget of £5 and had to work out the cost of their end product. All teams successful stayed within the budget, created their product and worked out the costing within the time limit. Pupils were then asked to vote for item they liked the best and was best value for money. The winning team made a pair of snowflake glasses.

Pupils watched a video of the Scottish SPCA in action, played a game that taught them some facts about animals and were given the opportunity to ask the animal rescue officer questions.
