Our trip around Aberdeen
We walked round Rosemount looking for evidence of WWII.
We looked for rosettes on the buildings that held the tram lines.
Looking around the streets to see what wasn’t there in WWII.
Finding a concrete bomb shelter.
Everyone was excited to see inside the shelter.
Heading inside, the doorway is very small.
How big will it be?
A little crammed.
Listening to the air raid siren and the bombs.
Listening to the interview of a WWII lady that survived in the shelter.
It was difficult to begin with, we found it hard work pumping the water .
We had to put our thumb over the end of the hose to spray the water so that it could cover a larger area.
This is what the wardens used in WWII to put out fire.
