P6/7 boys and girls read the stories from our book bag today.   Miss Aitken was very impressed with the very high standard of story telling and questioning.  P1 really enjoyed this activity.  Huge thank you to Miss Harper and her class.

Inspired by the book ‘There is a Bear on my Chair’, we decided to make  a chair for our own bears.  P5 kindly helped us make our models from recycled materials.  We really enjoyed this activity.  Big thank you to Miss Lamberton’s class!

We have enjoyed reading our Bookbug books in class and have completed lots of different activities linked to these books.  The boys and girls will each get a Bookbug bag to take home tomorrow.  This will include all 3 books we have studyed in class.  Please spend time reading these books with your child and complete the activity book.  We will vote for our favourite book when we go to the library next week.

Homework will be given out on Wednesday this week.

As communicated in an earlier post, we have changed our reward system in room 5.  Each child collects tokens and can trade them in for different rewards.   Click here to see the list of class rewards.

Please collect some interesting leaves, conkers, bark and/or twigs at the weekend or on the way to school and bring them in on Monday.  Thanks!

As our school have introduced a new behaviour policy, room 5 thought we’d change our reward system.  We all have our own box to collect tokens.  We receive a token for things such as listening, working hard, being kind, sharing etc.  We can then trade in our tokens for rewards.  Some rewards cost more than others.  This term we have decided rewards will include a sticker, free free choosing (not restricted by your tables set activities), sit next to a friend for a week and even lunch in the dining hall with Miss Aitken!
