Digital Learning Week

This week we have had the opportunity to extend our knowledge of coding.  Our focus has been:

  • to understand what algorithms are
  • to create and debug simple programs
  • to develop our problem solving skills

We worked together in small groups to complete 6 difference challenges:

We had lots of fun and worked very hard!  We are now planning to teach room 4 and 7 how to use Blue-Bots and set these challenges for them.

Day at the Beach baskets

Remember donations for our baskets need to be in for Wednesday.   Other donations by Friday.  If lots of people bring in a little we can create fantastic baskets to be raffled off at the school fair.  Our theme is ‘A Day at the Beach’.  So far we have boat sand set, bubbles, plates, cups, cutlery and a sand castle set.  A big thank you to those who have made a donation!

Lost property

Can you please check that your child has gone home with the correct jumper as someone is missing a green jumper from class and it is not in lost property.  Thank you!

Lost property

There are a number of jumpers, gym tops, shorts, socks and cardigans left in class with no names on them.   These will be added to lost property in the infant hall if unclaimed by end of first week back from holidays.  Please ensure all clothes have your child’s name on it, including their gym kit.  Thank you.

Fun at the Woodies!

Lots of fun at the Woodies today with the nursery boys and girls.  We enjoyed playing parachute games, making slime, chasing hoops down the hill, hiding in a den, writing stories, finding fairy hideouts, hunting for bugs and playing with balloons.
