Roald Dahl’s Whizz-Phizzing Birthday!

September 20, 2016 by User deactivated

The 13th of September marked Roald Dahl’s giganticus 100th birthday. The school-chiddlers in P6/7 (Room 21) had a gloriumptious time celebrating. We brought Roald Dahl characters to life in the style of Quentin Blake, adding a bit of splendiferous colour to our wall display. We had a great time watching the live Roald Dahl party alongside Room 22 – some of our favourite parts were: learning that in the first draft of Matilda, she was a horrible little chiddler; watching a wonderful performance from Matilda the Musical and also the speed at which Quentin Blake can draw. Bringing Gobblefunk into our writing was a spectacular experience for all of us! You may be a bit biffsquiggled and think it sounds redunculous or all a bit of piggery-jokery but to any Roald Dahl super-fan (like us) it makes perfect sense!

Attached are some  pictures of our whoppsy-whiffling work.

Anyway, we better skididdle and continue with our writing!
