Week beginning 11/6/18
P1 Seaside Assembly
Tuesday is out assembly at 2.15pm in the school hall. Please come along and support the children as the share their learning on The Seaside and Under the Sea. Don’t forget to bring your pennies to purchase the wonderful artwork and Octopus magnets made by your talented children.
CLIC
We are continuing to work on the following targets
C – Count to 20, Count back from 20
L – Number stories to 10
I – Doubles to 10, 3 + 3, 4 + 4, 5+ 5
C – Adding numbers together
Try to make any maths work at home as fun as possible – games, puzzles and jigsaws are a great way to start. It is also important to show how we use maths skills in our everyday lives so try to involve your child in this.

Sports Day
We all had lots of fun on Wednesday.
Visit to Kincorth Library
We had another visit to Kincorth library today where we were learning about the kids of books we can borrow. We know that fiction books tell a story and non-fiction books give us information. These pictures show the great time we had choosing books.
This term we are learning about the Seaside, Seashore and Under the Sea
This week the children have chosen to learn about whales. Please help your child to find out one interesting fact about whales to share with the class.

Literacy Work
The boys and girls will continue doing a lot of word building activities and making CVC words this week.

Our new sound is “ou” as in out and pound.
We are continuing to work really hard on our handwriting too. Please do handwriting homework on Monday and Wednesday night.
