Our 5th year Reading Buddies from Lochside Academy came down this morning.
All the children were very engaged. The nursery children enjoyed meeting the 5th years and they quickly made friends.
We can’t wait till they come to visit again.

Today in Wee Green Spaces we were wrapped up all in our suits, wellies and gloves. We went to our small woods today and went for a hunt for ice.
We found ice on the grass and in puddles on leaves.
After a run around we decided to make a tent.
We had to listen carefully to the teacher to make the tent so we could all pull the tarpaulin up and under our bottoms so we could sit on it. Our tent was so big we couldn’t see the teacher or our friends at the other side of the tent because the tarpaulin dropped down in the middle.

Well done!!!
Today we had lots of fun doing dancing with our primary 6 buddies. The teachers joined in too.
Today at nursery, we went and explored outside in the woods.
We learned how to tie ribbon on our sticks and then we had to colour match to items we found in our natural environment.
We found a huge pumpkin, it matched our orange ribbons.
We also found orange spots on a tree. What a great find!
We also found some things that matched our colours, but sadly were not natural, and should not have been found in the woods.
The children were very excited to go out to the woods today and are looking forward to going back out again soon.
Earlier this week, we tried to make the best of some rubbish weather! We had a huge puddle in our outside area and the children decided to use their imagination. Some decided it was lava that we weren’t allowed to touch while others thought it was a swimming pool for their dinosaurs.
This morning, our P6 buddies came down and read some of our favourite stories with us.
