Today at our Woods, we were playing with a puddle of mud. The children were talking about wild animals in the woods.

The children spoke about tigers and bears. The  children made mud stripes on their faces and started to chase their friends around the woods.

We found some mushrooms in the woods too. We spoke about the mushrooms and that we shouldn’t pick them because a lot of mushrooms can be poisonous.

We we found some secret holes in the trees filled with water.

On the way back to nursery we rolled down the hill and ran through a puddle back to school.

What an amazing adventure we had this afternoon.

We had an amazing time in the morning nursery today. We went to our Wee Green Spaces woods and found a few puddles to jump in.

The children were being very observant and looking for rain drops hanging off the trees.

The children used big sticks to hit the branches and felt the rain drops fall on their faces.

Some of the children tried to soak their friends instead.

We had a great time making mud pies too. We mixed the water in with the mud.

Then we made some mud pie faces and stuck them on our tree.

The children had a great time exploring our woods today and playing with the falling rain drops.

We headed back to nursery for cosy hot chocolate and  our snack.
