On Friday P7P learned all about angles. We learned about right angles, acute angles, obtuse angles and straight angles. We also learned all the measurements and degrees.
Then on Monday we had to go in pairs and make a poster about angles and the measurements in degrees. We got an hour and a quarter to do it. We all enjoyed doing it.
Room 15 had a task to do about Robert Burns. We needed to go the ICT suite and get facts about him. We only got two days to get the facts. We worked in groups of three. We worked really hard and everyone got a lot of facts.
After the two sessions in the computer suite we had to make a presentation on what we found out. The groups were pretty good. Most people used A2 paper. We had one hour and a quarter. Every group got finished in the time they had. Some of the groups were one person down at times but they still managed to complete the task.
Most people had fun and learned a lot. We thought the task was really worth it.
Mr Pirrie told us to go to the dinner ladies to ask them some questions about the Burns Supper, but they couldn’t give us any answers to our questions because the head cook was absent. We asked Mrs McDonald the questions instead and she gave us the cost and the date that the kitchen had to know how many people were going. Then Mrs McDonald gave us some Scottish music CDs to take up to Mr Pirrie.
Yesterday, the 20th of December, we had our Christmas disco. It was set up by the DJs. They did a really good job! The DJs were Glen, Lauren, Jade, Shannon, Elle and Jordan. If the DJs weren’t up on stage, and a party dance came on, they had to go up to the front and dance to show everyone the moves. They were really good dancers! They played quite a lot of songs like Gangnam style by PSY, Troublemaker by Olly Murs and Party Rock Anthem by lmfao. Glen was really good at the gangnam style dance. The DJs did really well and made it a memorable night!
Today, the 21st of December 2012, we had a class party. The DJs did all the music and dancing like they had done yesterday. They played a lot of the same songs but it was still fun. Even Mr. Pirrie had a shot at dancing to 5,6,7,8! It was hilarious, he didn’t know it! At the end they put on “Merry Christmas Everyone” and everybody joined in. It was really and really loud. We are so lucky and we have another party today! Mr. Pirrie is really generous and bought us six bottles of Shloer!
This morning the whole class had to rehearse our Christmas Show because we were missing one actor from the play. We had to go to plan B. Plan B was to have to a volunteer to be Joseph. Jack was Joseph (which is a very important character and he was absent). Paul had to take Jack’s place as Joseph which meant that Shaun had to double up and be a hip wise man and an inn keeper which could be a good thing for Shaun if he likes being on stage!
But as Mr Pirrie says the show must go on. Hopefully Jack will be back by tomorrow or we will have to go on with plan B. Paul and Shaun don’t like the idea of it but they can live with it. Paul and Shaun have to learn the lines by tomorrow.
We know they will be great at it and the concert will be a success! Joseph is a main character and Jack knows all the lines so hopefully he will be back. If not – well Paul is the one for it. They are both good at it so it won’t matter too much.
