Snowman Competition.
Yesterday lunchtime the children took part in a snowman making competition. Lots of the senior children took part and had a great time working together to make their snowmen. Well done to Jay P6, Euan P6, George P7 and Mark P7 who were part of the winning team.
Pinocchio
M & M productions came and did a production of Pinocchio for the whole school. Everyone had a great time watching it!
Green Santa
Green Santa, Waste Aware Aberdeen attended our assembly last Friday. Quarryhill have been linked with the British Heart Foundation. The BHF will be coming back on Friday 7th December to collect any unwanted toys or books to distribute around their charity shops. A letter went out to the children about this. We thank you for your continued support.
P6/7 Football Team
Mr Judge to coach of one of the p6/7 football teams has secured a sponsorship from TJ Joinery for a new strip! Don’t they look smart!
Wildlife Area Development
The Garden Gang have been working very hard during the pupil working groups to develop the Wildlife Area. They worked with the Aberdeen Ranger Service to come up with ideas of what we could do in the area. Children from the Garden Gang and others from every class came out to help to develop the grounds.
Dobbies Visit
Dobbies Garden Centre have very kindly been helping us to develop our wildlife area to an area where some gardening can take place. 3 children went up to Dobbies to collect some plants they donated. Dobbies are going to continue to work with the school to help us develop this area further.
