Book Fair

This is a copy of a letter your child should come home with on Friday 6th May.

Dear Parent/Guardian

Travelling Books are visiting Ferryhill Primary School from the 10th – 17th May.  During that time your child/children will get the opportunity to visit the book stand and browse the books that are on offer.  Any books purchased will earn the school commission to spend on books for the school library.

All the books are in their online store www.travellingbooks.co.uk if you wish to look at them prior to the fair.  The book fair will also be on display during the parent’s evenings if you wish to visit it with your child (Tuesday 10th May and Thursday 12th May, 3.15 to 6.00).  The books can be ordered and bought using cash or if you wish to pay by debit or credit card then you can do so using their pay by phone method.  Both methods will still allow the school to earn generous commission and allow you to pick them up from the school.

To pay by phone please call 03300885756

You will need your card number, expiry date, the 3 digit security code on the back of your card and the amount you wish to pay. Please also have the school reference number to hand and a pen to record your transaction code.

School Reference Number is 928521

Please give the school fair both the transaction code and the amount spent. A letter will come home for you to record these details on and return to school.

Calls will be charged at your standard mobile rate.

We hope you enjoy visiting the fair.

Kindest regards

Jeanette Macpherson

(Depute Head)

School May Fair, Saturday 28th May, 11am-1pm

Our school May Fair is a great way for the children & their famiiles to have fun together in the school and also raise much-needed funds. There will be lots of stalls, the ever-popular raffle, face-painting, games in the field, food, etc.
The PTA works very hard to organise this event & would greatly appreciate as much help as possible!  We also need raffle prizes so please let Angie know if you can donate any.
Please contact Angie (Nicol) Barnett on 07776 292344 if you can help in any way. More info to follow in the school bags shortly.
Albury Sports Centre open afternoon will be on the same day from 1pm so people can go straight from the fair to this event.

Archie in Africa

Ferryhill pupils came to school dressed however they wanted to on the last Thursday of term in aid of Archie in Africa.  All money raised will go towards essential hospital equipment in the only child’s hospital in Uganda.  A grand total of £651 was raised!
