Well done Ben (P5)!

Congratulations to P5 pupil Ben who was scouted by Aberdeen Football Club to attend training and Trials as goal Keeper where he plays for Highland League youth academy team Formartine United.

Ben impressed enough on his first trials to warrant playing a full game for the Aberdeen FC 04 team who played against the Newtonhill 03 team and performed very well in a 10-4 win for Aberdeen FC.

Ben attended a second trial on the 16th June and impressed enough to be placed on the Aberdeen FC database of players to be monitored by a district scout and his progressed monitored at his parent club Formartine United.

Well Done Ben from Braehead Primary School.

Nethybridge – Day 2

Day 2 at Nethybridge
Today is April 29, 2014 and our activities were raft building and it was when we had to construct a raft in a miniature scale and then draw a picture of it. We then took the piece of paper and then built it on a life size scale. We then bolted it together, next we lifted them into the water and we had to find three balls that were scattered all around the pond. There were two teams – a red team and a blue team . unfortunately the blue team lost but in the end we got to jump in, most of us did. The water made our clothes so heavy that some of us couldn’t get out but to make matters worse the water was freezing.
Then we went dry slope skiing. All of us fell but we got back up. We all had a wonderful time but most of us got soaked by the sprinklers.
Overall, we had a wonderful time and we are looking forward to the days to come.
