This year our school has entered in a few things to do with the festival and we’ve even had some soloists like me. Some of our classes did very well one of which was Primary 2/1 who came first in their class .Although they came 2nd out of 2 schools in their class the music group also played well. At our school we think that everyone of our pupils or classes did well.

In our school we have a superb music group! In it we have two fantastic keyboardists called Janie & Gemma. We have a wonderful bass guitarist called Ruari and a legendary electric guitarist called Gregor . We also have an amazing pianist (who also sings) called Sara. We have a very talented singer called Laurie who can sing just about anything! We have attended the Inverclyde Music Festival lately and came second. We might not have come first but we are still very proud. Happily, we are still improving and working hard with our fabulous music group teacher called Mr Kirkpatrick. During the 60’s there were lots of new inventions such as the first video game, lava lamps , the first waterbed & loads more !
The 60s was an era full of music ,the most popular being pop. Some of the main artists are Elvis Presley, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin & Jimmy Hendrix.

Hello we are Primary 7 from Kilmalcolm Primary. This is our first time blogging so lets get started !
This term our topic has been the Swinging 60s. The main thing we have been focusing on is The Beatles , we are now decorating our class with records of The Beatles greatest hits.
Coming up in 2 weeks is our trip to Winmarleigh Hall! We are looking forward to our trip and are hoping to learn some new skills along the way.
