It was a wonderful tribute to Robert Burns and showcased the talents of our pupils. Both classes performed Scottish songs such as &#8216;The Jeely Piece Song&#8217; and &#8216;Coulter&#8217;s Candy&#8217;, we heard various Burns poems read aloud which brought his famous words to life and we discussed the life of Robert Burns and the traditions of Burns Night, including the famous Burns Supper, complete with haggis, neeps and tatties!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"299\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/woodmuir2\/files\/2025\/02\/IMG_3045-1024x497.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-299\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"300\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/woodmuir2\/files\/2025\/02\/IMG_3044-1024x581.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-300\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"301\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/woodmuir2\/files\/2025\/02\/IMG_3040-1024x562.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-301\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"302\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/woodmuir2\/files\/2025\/02\/IMG_3037-1024x478.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-302\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background\" style=\"background-color:#7cb0d2\">To end the assembly, we all joined in a Scottish dance which was a fun and fantastic way to honour Burns&#8217; influence and enjoy a bit of Scottish tradition together.
