Virtual Sports Week – Day Two

Equipment Required:

Target e.g. washing basket

5 pairs of balled up socks

FOR YOUR SAFETY:

Please make sure that you are taking care performing any of the activities for our Virtual Sports Week, wearing clothing that is suitable for PE Activities, your laces are tied and that you are being supervised appropriately by an adult.

TASK:

Today’s challenge is target toss.

Take 3 steps away from your target

Using either an under or overarm throw, using one pair of balled up socks at a time try to throw the socks into the target from your allocated distance.

Your score is how many pairs of socks you successfully get into your target.

Video your challenge performance and post your video to your learners journey or e-mail the video to the nursery mailbox.

5m marked out distance

Stopwatch

FOR YOUR SAFETY:

Please make sure that you are taking care performing any of the activities for our Virtual Sports Week, wearing clothing that is suitable for PE Activities, your laces are tied and that you are being supervised appropriately by an adult.

TASK:

Today’s challenge is shuttle runs.

You must run from one point to the next point which should be measured out at a 5m distance.  You will see how many times you can run from one point to the other in 20seconds.

Your score is how many times you can run from point A to point B and back again in 20seconds. Each time you make it to the other side this will count as 1 point.

Video your challenge performance and post this to your Online Learning Journal.
