Our highlights from the past two weeks . . .<\/p>\n

I liked when we wrote descriptions about our mythical creatures and designed our fairy doors in preparation for creating a \u201cWindyknowe Fairy Trail\u201d in the woodland area.<\/em><\/p>\n

Last Friday I really liked when we created geometric patterns using straight lines and we also really liked the Lady McNessie art.\u00a0 We shaded, used oil pastels and pencil; it was so much fun!<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em>We also created multi media presentations on the Dechmont UFO landings in groups of two or three. Some people even managed to visit the sight of the landing during the September weekend.<\/em><\/p>\n

Numeracy and Maths:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In numeracy we have been doing sequences and patterns, \u00a0trying to find the rule. In\u00a0maths\u00a0we\u2019ve been\u00a0doing\u00a0timetables and trying to find out when a train\u00a0or\u00a0bus would leave\/arrive.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Topic:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In topic we have been learning more about Scottish myths and legends.\u00a0 Our class learned about the\u00a0Dechmont\u00a0alien landing\u00a0and made presentations telling you\u00a0everything\u00a0you needed to know about the event in problem solving we were creating Alien Spaceships from craft and junk materials.<\/span><\/p>\n

Literacy:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In literacy we have been doing sensory descriptions\u00a0on\u00a0the\u00a0fire bird and\u00a0also\u00a0we have\u00a0making\u00a0character\u00a0descriptions\u00a0of mythical\u00a0fairies for fairy trail.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Health and wellbeing:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In health and\u00a0wellbeing\u00a0we have\u00a0being\u00a0learning about the\u00a0effects\u00a0of racism and discrimination\u00a0on children. We looked at an experiment on children with blue eyes\u00a0where\u00a0told\u00a0they\u00a0were\u00a0far superior to\u00a0the children\u00a0with non \u2013blue eyes.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
