{"id":19583,"date":"2020-10-08T15:10:24","date_gmt":"2020-10-08T14:10:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/windyknowe\/?p=19583"},"modified":"2020-10-08T15:10:24","modified_gmt":"2020-10-08T14:10:24","slug":"p5mk-blog-8-10-20","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/windyknowe\/2020\/10\/08\/p5mk-blog-8-10-20\/","title":{"rendered":"P5mk Blog 8.10.20"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong style=\"font-size: 1rem\">Numeracy and Maths<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>JLD liked learning about angles \u2013 I learned there are right, acute, obtuse, straight and reflex angles<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>*ECB has learned about chimney sums and is working on adding and taking away bigger numbers<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>LS has learnt the split strategy.\u00a0 I split my tens and add them together.\u00a0 I then split my ones and add them together.\u00a0 At the end I add my tens to my ones.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>*AW has been following directions \u2013 North, East, South, West.\u00a0 They help you find your way home!<\/p>\n<p>*WR loved Maths week.\u00a0 We had lots of challenges set by the Deputy First Minister.\u00a0 They were pretty hard but we managed to solve some of them.<\/p>\n<p>*CR has learnt about 2D shape.\u00a0 He found different types of angles inside the 2D shapes such as acute, right and obtuse.<\/p>\n<p>*MC has been tiling during numeracy with 2D shapes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Literacy &amp; English<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>*IE has wrote a story linked to topic about volcanoes.\u00a0 We used our topic spelling words throughout our writing<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>AM enjoyed writing about Earthquakes.\u00a0 This was explanation writing and we had to use subheadings to be successful<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>JM has learnt about prepositions.\u00a0 These are words that tell you the position of a noun. \u00a0E.g. on\/off, up\/down, behind<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>*EY has been answering questions about something she has read in Topic and being specific in her answer<\/p>\n<p>*CM wrote a story about what it would feel like to be in a natural disaster.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Health &amp;
