Hello,<\/p>\n
Here’s what P3HW have been up to this week!<\/p>\n
Jayden- We went on our trip to New Lanark!<\/p>\n
Beth- Children worked at New Lanark and they worked in a factory and they made cotton.<\/p>\n
Zak- We learned about the Victorian schools. The punishment if you did something bad was a whip.<\/p>\n
Demi- We learned how they had to go to the toilet, they had to go outside!<\/p>\n
Tristan- There was no electricity and it was all powered by water.<\/p>\n
Ramzi- The steam engine was as big as a small car.<\/p>\n
Iemanja- We learned that if there was a house there would be one window per house and up to 10 people in one house.<\/p>\n
Murdo- We went on a ghost ride from Annie McLeod.<\/p>\n
Rizuana- She had to do work if she was four or over.<\/p>\n
Aadam- We followed a path. We had a snack outside.<\/p>\n
Orin- Five people had to sleep in the same bedroom!<\/p>\n
We have also been doing lots of numeracy and literacy work, working on our spelling patterns and making up alliteration sentences!<\/p>\n
Ailie- In Maths we were doing our four times tables with Mrs Wells.<\/p>\n
Jessica also wanted to tell us that we have been doing lots of practising for our school show, which is only in a couple of weeks!<\/p>\n
For the show we require the children\u2019s costumes in a bag marked with their name. A slip went home earlier in the week with the details but in case anyone needs a reminder:<\/p>\n
Witch dancers- all black outfit.<\/strong><\/p>\n Narrators, dancers and choir- colourful outfits (the idea being we look like sweeties.
