{"id":2945,"date":"2015-11-25T16:29:04","date_gmt":"2015-11-25T16:29:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/williamstonprimaryschool\/?p=2945"},"modified":"2015-11-25T20:47:33","modified_gmt":"2015-11-25T20:47:33","slug":"p2-sensory-spelling-activities-information-for-parents","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/williamstonprimaryschool\/2015\/11\/25\/p2-sensory-spelling-activities-information-for-parents\/","title":{"rendered":"P2 Sensory Spelling Activities- Information for Parents"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/public\/williamstonprimaryschool\/uploads\/sites\/2952\/2015\/11\/spelling-homework-ideas-Letter-2.docx\">spelling homework ideas Letter 2<\/a><\/p>\n<p>P2\/1, P2 and P3\/2 children are using sensory spelling activities for spelling homework this term.<\/p>\n<p>Details of the activities can be found on the spelling sheet issued by your child&#8217;s class teacher and a copy is attached.<\/p>\n<p>Activities include -Paint it! , Shaving Cream It! and Build a word with Lego! -Some exciting and creative ways to practise and learn our spelling patterns and words.<\/p>\n<p>Below is some guidance for parents on when do it , how to do it and record it which we hope is helpful.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Weekly sensory spelling activities \u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Information for parents<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Each week choose <strong>at least 1<\/strong> activity (you may do more if you wish) to complete.<\/li>\n<li>On completion in child\u2019s spelling jotter <strong>note the name of the activity\/activities<\/strong> that you completed with your child.<\/li>\n<li><strong>If you wish<\/strong> to make a comment either about how well your child completed this activity or if they enjoyed this activity please also add this.<\/li>\n<li><strong>If you wish<\/strong> you can paste in or attach examples if possible * many of these activities you will not be able to do this as they are a bit impractical to record or just messy!<\/li>\n<li><strong>If you wish<\/strong> you can take a photograph of this activity and paste into your child\u2019s spelling jotter.<\/li>\n<li>Spelling homework is issued on Monday and we ask that you please return on Friday.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Remember it is the experience of learning for your children that is important and not the recording of it.
