Mindfulness Assembly

Hello everyone,

Today at our Teams assembly we had a shout out to lots of  our children who have  been busy with their learning at home. We also spoke about mindfulness and looked at different techniques to help us feel calm and relaxed. I have attached a copy of the PPT below that was used (although I am still trying to figure out how to record my voice on each slide as it didn’t work last time) and the link to some of the mindfulness techniques.

I hope you all enjoy and have a lovely weekend! 🙂

Good Morning Everyone

I hope you all had a good weekend. The weather has been very unpredictable as it was snowing yesterday when I was walking my dogs. I hope you have fun with my activities this week although I am not as clever on the computer as Ms Young and her wonderful Sway posts.

I miss seeing everyone but keep safe and it will all be over soon.

Perhaps you might want to make a time capsule of how you and your family have got through these unusual times, and save as a piece of history!!

Out of the Ark Music – Free resources

Mrs Keenan, our music specialist, has asked we share the website – Same Boat Music – with you.

They are currently providing lots of resources to “help with the rhythms and routines of your new daily life.”

They are releasing seven songs, one for each day, all with challenges and activities related to each song. Every week for the next few weeks they will continue to add songs and resources.

It is a church linked website, so some of the songs are connected to religious festivals, but you are free choose which songs and activities suit you and your family.

Active Connect 4 Challenge

Morning Everyone. 🙂 How are you all getting on with the Active Connect 4 challenge (see post from Friday)? I am going to try today to get 4 in a row but it looks tough!
Check out this amazing video of Mrs Browne doing her challenge!!!
If you complete the challenge we would love to see your photos/videos that you could send to our school email address – wlwestfield-ps@westlothian.org.uk
Missing you all,
Mrs Stutt 🙂
