We have a drawing and writing area and children have been creating lots of beautiful drawings and learning to write. Some of their super efforts have been collected in a display folder.

Transport
We’ve been very busy this week creating junk vehicles to use on our hand drawn road. Children have enjoyed finding the right shaped boxes to create cars, vans, buses and wheels. Good work.
Wellie Reminder
It would be great to get the last children with their own wellies before the October holidays. Please let us know if there are any difficulties with this.
Parental/Carer Responses
Just a quick thank you to the parents/carers who gave us some feedback after the consultations for our pre school children. We appreciate you taking the time and giving us such positive comments. We will certainly continue to do our best to live up to them.
One parent asked for Show & Tell to be reinstated and this has also come up at our Parent Forum (posh name for our chats after Stay & Play). We have decided to link Show & Tell with our Stay & Play opportunities. So every time we have a Stay & Play we also have a Show & Tell.
Our next two Stay & Play (and Show & Tell) dates are on Thursday the 26th of October and Tuesday the 28th of November. It would be great to see you there.
Autumn art!
This week we have been painting the apples picked from our nursery garden to make apple prints and we have used some leaves from our home link bags to make autumn collages.
Stay and Play
Thanks to all the grown ups that joined us on Wednesday for our first stay & play session. The children loved showing you around their nursery and even sharing you with some of their friends. 
The Wheels on the Bus
We continued working on our transport theme this week. Children had to count types of transport and create tally marks on charts. They had great fun looking for everything. We used all the learning we have had over the last few weeks to create an interactive display.
Learning Numbers
We had great fun learning numbers this week, we created a number board where the children had to find specific numbers.
Tasty Treats
You will remember us picking apples from the tree in the garden a couple of weeks ago, we used these to make delicious apple pie for snack.
Communication Pegs
Sometimes we put a clothes peg on your child’s name card to alert you that we need a word. We might want to tell you that your child has been very kind, a little sad, got splashed and needed changed etc. – there are all sorts of reasons for using a communication peg.
