Good news! We have been told we are getting a bit of a makeover during the summer holidays. This will consist of a new kitchen, new flooring and a fresh coat of paint. You won’t recognise us next session!
This means that some walls might be stripped as there is preparation work before the painters start and there might be the odd packing box too.
We have decided to stop our Big Bedtime Read initiative for this session and start to collect in all our bags. Please return your bag, if you still have one, as soon as possible. There will be a short questionnaire for you to complete to allow us to work out how much impact this project has had. Thank you for your support in this.
Another wee reminder – could you check you have a change of clothes in your child’s bag? Recently we have noticed there have been less people providing this useful option.
Just a wee reminder that we celebrated our bank holiday last Monday and are not off this Monday for the English bank holiday. See you on Monday. Enjoy your weekend.
Instead of our usual weekly walk we decided to have a bike ride. We took the bikes and scooters and had an adventure right round the school grounds ending up in the school garden where we stopped for our picnic snack in the sunshine.
Using the letters from the stone circle that spell Deans Primary we tried to see if we had any of the letters in our own name. The afternoon boys and girls then caught up with the Garden Gang and had some fun with them.

We are all absolutely delighted to have been recognised as a Breast Feeding Friendly nursery. If you are visiting us with your baby and wish to feed them there is a comfortable spot for you. Here’s a picture of our certificate.
We all planted a sunflower seed this week and will care for them and watch them grow while learning all about nature and plants. Some children then had fun making sunflower pictures.
Nursery children who have an older sibling in school enjoyed a short visit from them recently. They loved showing them around and telling them what they get up to at nursery.
