If you received one of our eyesight forms can we please ask you to complete it and hand it into any nursery staff member by Tuesday 8th November. This is to ensure we enroll your child in the checks. Fireman Steel visits the nursery

We have an exciting visitor coming to visit us in the nursery on Wednesday. Fireman Steel is coming in to speak to us about firework and bonfire safety. He is also bringing in his fireman’s uniform to let us see it.

To help your child prepare for this visit, you could speak to them about what’s going to happen and help them prepare a question for him.

We hope you enjoy your bonfire night and stay safe!

Lending Library

Our Lending Library is now ready and we are very excited about launching it this week. We have chosen a selection of engaging and motivating books to enhance your child’s literacy skills.

Your child will be taken by the nursery staff to collect a book of their choice. The title of the book will be noted down by the staff and placed in your Lending Library bag, along with a comments form for you to complete. This will then be given to you when you collect your child from nursery.library

Please make sure the book is returned to us in good condition the following week to make sure your child can pick a new book to take home. Why don’t you …add character voices, take turns retelling the story, act the story out, point to details on the page, discuss your favourite part….but most of all…ENJOY YOUR BOOK!

Lending Library Days:

Monday – Green group

Tuesday – Yellow group

Wednesday – Red group

Thursday – Blue group

Friday – Purple group

Show and Tell

As you may know we launched our Show and Tell on Thursday and this was a great success. The children were very excited talking about the item they brought in. This ranged from favourite toys, costumes, photographs and special objects that they wanted their nursery friends to see.

We will continue Show and Tell every Thursday. Please add your special item to the children’s basket according to their group colour.  Thank you for helping your child prepare for this and building their confidence.toys

Late Log

Our nursery times are:

Monday-Thursday

Morning 8.10am – 11.16am

Afternoon 12.09pm – 4.06pm

Friday

Morning 8.10am – 11.38am

In order for the staff to plan, prepare and create an inspiring nursery, please ensure your child is collected no later than these times. Our doors are open 15 minutes before this to allow you to do this. Late pick ups really impact our training and preparation times and a late log is now being kept to alert parents to this.

Thank you for you on-going supportclock
