We have set the dates for the next set of PEEP sessions. They are all on Wednesdays at 9.00 and 1.45 starting on Wednesday (30th January). PEEP is just a group of children and parents/carers getting together in our special PEEP room at Deans P.S. Mrs Wilson and Mrs Lockhart lead the sessions with fun activities for everyone. Come along – you and your child can make friends, share ideas and have fun through singing, story and activities.

We have a Stay & Play opportunity on Thursday 17th of January. We have moved it back to the start of the session. Please just stay for a wee while when you drop off your child. Join in with their favourite activities and meet their friends.You can have a quick word with your child’s key worker too, just to get a little update on how well they are doing.

Thank you to everyone who bought a raffle ticket to support nursery funds. Thank you to Weslo Housing Association for the grand prize of a Kindle and Arnold Clark for prizes as well. Below are  photos of some of the lucky winners.

We had a lovely time at our Christmas parties –   we played party games, had a delicious Christmas snack and then………Santa came.

There wasn’t a dry eye in the house on Wednesday as our children performed the Nativity Story beautifully, well done to all.

Invitation to Stay & Play

Stay & Play is on Tuesday!

Come towards the end of the session 10.15a.m./ 2.15p.m. Join in with our play. Watch the boys and girls tidy up. Join us in our Nativity preparation for a sneak preview!

 

The Big Bedtime Read bags are only available on a Tuesday so you need to remember to return and pick up on the day.

We have noticed that it is more convenient for parents of children going to breakfast club to come to nursery through the school rather than the long way round to the nursery entrance. We are happy to facilitate this (unless the corridor is busy with P.1 children coming in to the school).

We ask however that you always ring the bell to enter the nursery rather than opening the gate yourself. This is because we need to be aware at all times who is entering or leaving the nursery. Also it ensures that the gate is properly closed each time – it’s a bit tricky.

With this in mind could I also remind you to avoid opening the nursery door for other parents even though you may feel a little rude. Instead tell a member of the team that you have spotted someone waiting to get in. It is essential we know who comes in or out as we need to register each child as they arrive and sign them out as they leave.

What a great time we had today out walking to raise money for our nursery. The children were super heroes indeed and every child made it round with a smile on their face.

Thank you for the sponsored sheets which some of you have  returned already. There are a lot of very generous people out there. Thank you again.

Just a final reminder our nursery sponsored walk takes place tomorrow (Tuesday 6th November). Remember your child’s superhero costume!  The weather forecast looks quite promising – light cloud and moderate breeze.

After tomorrow you can get your sponsored sheets signed off (that means a member of the nursery team will sign on the bottom of the sheet to confirm your child completed the challenge) and then you can collect the money in.

Here’s hoping we can get lots of new equipment. As usual we will post all our new purchases on the blog so you can see how your money is being spent.
