Good morning everyone.

Lets get Active

Today instead of Joe Wicks I thought we could try this workout

Mindfullness activity

When out a walk in nature, stop for a few minutes and do this exercise together.

  • Name all the things that you can notice around you
  • Name all the things that you can hear
  • Say how you are feeling , are you happy? Do you feel peaceful? Tell each other why you are feeling this way. Maybe you are happy because the sun is shining and you are enjoying your walk.

Enjoy some quiet minutes taking deep breaths in and out together and enjoying the air on your face.

Stepping-stones game

STEPPING STONE BALANCE TOY FOR KIDS - Hello Wonderful  Wander Through The Best of Nature on the Web | Upcycle garden ... Outdoor Porcelain Paving Slabs | Cashmere Beige Porcelain Paving

In nursery the children love to play “danger” games! They often use the wooden blocks as stepping stones and try not to stand on the ground  as they hop or jump from block to block, before the shark/crocodile catches them. It’s a simple, fun game that can last for ages and teaches turn taking while also working on key gross motor skills and balance. You could try this with paper or cushions as the stepping stone at home.
