Homemade Maracas 

Making your own maracas is a great way to encourage creativity and shaking maracas to a song or tune encourages children to listen to rhythm and anticipate how the song will change.  Shake, rattle and roll! 

 Materials:

two small plastic water bottles, two toilet paper tubes, about a handful of any small material such as rice, birdseed or dried macaroni, tape.
