Please also see plan for more details.<\/p>\n<p>Literacy<\/p>\n<p>Letter formation: E, F, H <\/p>\n<p>\u2022\tOur new sound today is \u2018igh\u2019.<br \/>\nWhere is the \u2018igh\u2019 sound made?<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\tCan you think of any words that use the \u2018igh\u2019 sound?<br \/>\n\u2022\tDoes the \u2018igh\u2019 sound come at the start, the middle or the end of these words?<br \/>\n\u2022\tSlide some sounds together to form words:<br \/>\n\u2022\tNow write these words and draw a picture to match. They will be able to discuss simple ways of behaving safely when near roads and traffic such as holding a grown up&#8217;s hand and finding safer places to cross the road.<\/p>\n<p>Stop, Look, Listen, Think sequence<br \/>\n\u2022\tStop &#8211; when you approach a crossing, STOP before you come to an edge of the pavement.<br \/>\n\u2022\tLook &#8211; LOOK for cars, bikes, lorries, other vehicles, by looking right, left and right again.<br \/>\n\u2022\tListen &#8211; LISTEN for vehicles too. You may be able to hear them before you see them.<br \/>\n\u2022\tThink &#8211; is there enough time for you to cross the road safely?<\/p>\n<p>Watch the video clip below.
