We are learning about Mini beasts.  We have made a Wormery because our topic is mini beasts and we needed some sand and soil and leaves.  I don’t know how many worms there are.

In P4/5 they have been doing SRA and they have been answering questions about maths, literacy, reading and a or b questions.  In science P4/5 have been learning about the weather, they have been learning about tornadoes.  They have been learning about Shakespeare.  They learned a new song about Shakespeare.

Today, P5/6 made our very own Lewis Chess pieces. These pieces were found on the Isle of Lewis and are thought to date from the 13th century. As we were  finishing our People of Medieval Scotland topic (POMS), we thought this was a lovely way to say good bye to the 13th and 14th centuries. Renee made a fantastic bishop!

Before we finalise this topic, we are going to upload to the blog our group news reports about famous battles and sieges leading up to the Battle of Bannockburn. Watch this space for more details.

Lewis chess pieces

p3/4 Have been doing grammer and learning all about it we were doing a sheet.The sheet is about noun’s ,verbs and adjectives.In maths we have been learning to do magic number layout.we have been recaping what tallymarks are and how and when to use them.In litracy we have been learning how and when to use paragraphs.Our new topic for coming back from the easter hoilday is seashores.A seashore is when the water reaches the land.In french we are drawing pictures of people and we had to lable the body parts in french.In indoor PE we have been doing athletics and learning all about it.In outdoor PE we have been doing rounders it has been very fun.In spelling we have been doing a word study and we got to pick one of our spelling words mine was deep.We have been going over the sound’s in our spelling word’s and we were going over them in the color of our group here are some groups yellow,green,pink,purple and blue.
