A huge well done to the four children who represented Uphall Primary School at the West Lothian Schools Gymnastics Competition today.
The whole team achieved Gold and received a certificate and large trophy to be displayed in the school. They also received individual Gold medals. One P5 pupil also achieved Silver in the individual competition.

Uphall Nursery are currently working towards gaining a certificate of achievement to be classed as “Breastfeeding Friendly” by West Lothian Community Health and Care Partnership.
Recently we have been focusing on how we can promote a breastfeeding friendly culture in our nursery. Our staff have received training and we have written a breastfeeding policy for the nursery. It is known that breastfeeding can have enormous benefit to the health of both the mother and the child. However, as well as “knowing the benefits”, we know that supportive environments are needed to enable and support breastfeeding.

In PE we are learning to use balls in different ways – throwing, catching, kicking, dribbling. It’s lots of fun and we work with teams and take turns. 😁
We are learning how to order numbers from smallest to biggest and biggest to smallest in groups! This was lots of fun!
We have also been learning how to make numbers using hundreds, tens and ones.
