P6 had a fantastic time at Broxburn Academy participating in the cluster science and technology day.  They took part in a variety of experiments and enjoyed the opportunity to use different equipment.

P6 visited local war graves as part of their WW1 topic.  They learned how to use a map and locate specific graves.  To show their respect to all soldiers who fought and died, the class laid a handmade poppy wreath.  Everyone contributed in creating the wreath.

P6 loved participating in the cluster cross country competition.  All the children did really well to participate and finish the race.  A huge well done to Athena for coming in second place in the girls race!

P6 enjoyed a visit from Elle’s Papa as part of our Passchendaele and WW1 topic.  He brought in a lot of resources for the children to look at, handle and try on.  The children found his visit very informative and it really helped their learning.  A huge thank you from Primary 6.

A reminder to P2 rainbow room parents/family/carers that you are warmly welcomed to join us for a stay and play session on Thursday 24th May at 9.10am.  We also have our blether and a biscuit time scheduled for Friday 1st of June! Hope to see you soon!
