Virtual Assembly

Thank you to everyone who managed to tune in to our first TEAMS P4-7 Assembly.  It was great to see/hear so many of our children and families, we are missing you all.

We are working hard behind the scenes to develop a live platform to include everyone from nursery to P7, so watch this space.  Mrs Galek will post the powerpoint from today on the blog for everyone to see.

Remember our Emotion Works focus for next week is the orange cog – emotion words.  Mrs Kinnear has prepared fun activities from next week which your class teacher will share.

Keep up the great work everyone.

Have a super weekend!

Friday 22nd May P3 Home Learning

Good morning P3!

Remember at 10 o’clock there is a whole school assembly- however it is on ‘Teams’ so you will only be able to access it if you have an older sibling who has been using ‘Teams’ for their home learning. Otherwise, the assembly Power Point will be shared on the blog with you later in the day.

This week is ‘Mental Health’ week- this means looking after our minds, thoughts and feelings.  It is especially important that we are looking our minds during lockdown as things are very different! So today please reflect on how you are feeling and talk to an adult about your emotions. P2- Friday 22nd May

Good Morning Everyone!

Today we have our school assembly  which will be at 10am.  If you have an older sibling in P4-7 you will be able to watch with them through TEAMS.

Literacy

Today we are going to listen to a Cat in the Hat story about money.  It’s an American book so, although it describes American currency (not British), it’s still funny to listen to the rhyming words and learn about the history of money.

After listening to the story, think about these questions.  You can answer them by telling someone, writing down your answers in your jotter or on a piece of paper.

  1. Did you learn anything new/interesting about the history of money?
  2. Find out about the history of British money. Write down at least three facts you have learned (below is a template to get you stared).
  3. If you haven’t done so already, look at the money grid. One option is to design your own coin or note.  Why not try that today or over the weekend?

Money Facts

It would be great if you have the time to complete the eform to tell us what you thought about money stories and the money grid this week.  Thank you.
