Well done to Keri who came first in the long jump today at the P7 cluster sports day.  She jumped an amazing 2.95 metres!

This week is the transition week for the P7 pupils at Broxburn Academy.  Today they attended a maths challenge morning, Wednesday and Thursday the children will follow their S1 timetable and on Friday they will take part in a sports day.  Good luck!

To celebrate our 50th birthday we are looking for memorabilia from former pupils. If you or anyone you know have any items, such as uniforms, report cards, photographs, etc. we would love to borrow them for a display depicting Uphall Primary throughout the decades. P2/3 has a visit from Callum from Cool Creatures who brought some mini beasts for the class to find out more about.

We met a python, giant millipede, hissing cockroaches, a giant African snail, a scorpion and a baby tarantula!

The non-campers from P6, P6/7 and P7 were busy this week researching Islands. We looked at Tristan Da Cunha, Madagascar, Tahiti and then an island of our own choice. We used our knowledge of scale and ratio to develop various charts about these islands. We also created some marvellous art work. Here are a few examples:-
