Keep on Reading!

It is very, very snowy here in Edinburgh boys and girls!

I thought you might like to try some of the activities for World Book Day.

There are some great ideas here :

Reading Challenge 1

Reading Challenge 2

One of the ideas is to read to your pet. I have tried this with Poppy and I think she quite enjoyed it!

You might like to try this as well, if you have a printer. I used to love getting Book Tokens as presents when I was your age.

Book Token Design Competition

Can you make a snow mind map showing some describing words or things to do in the snow?

Hopefully we will be back at school soon and you can show me what you have been up to.

Keep warm and safe, and happy reading.

P3M Home learning – SNOW DAY

Snow day ideas!

I hope you are all cosy and warm inside.

Here are some suggested activities for you to do.

1. Practise reading your key words – fry’s word list in book bag.

2. We were going to write s story about a journey today. Perhaps you could write about a journey in the snow or about a snowman that came alive!

3. Our phonics sound this week was magic e working with a. Can you create any magic e words in the snow? You could write them with your finger or feet!

4. We have been learning about arrays. Perhaps you could make snowballs and set them out in different arrays!

5. We have also been counting in 10’s off the decade – 32,42 52,62 etc. Can you create your own sequence? Write it in colour!

6. We have also been learning about the history of flight transport this week. Why not build a mode of transport in the snow!

Id love to see your home learning! Take some pictures and bring them to school.

Take care, be safe, stay warm and have fun!

Miss Anderson 😊
