This week the P7s helped their buddies every day at lunchtime to support them with settling in and learning the routines connected with the dinner hall. On Friday the children also had their first buddy session and worked in groups to listen to the P1 children talk about their ‘Marvellous Me’ boxes.

P7 – A New Term
Welcome back to all the P7 children after a lovely summer break. The class has displayed excellent behaviour all week and has set a good example to others across the school. The P 7s helped their buddies at break time this week to settle in to Uphall Primary and all did a good job. Keep up the great work P7!
The final practice for the Drummers!
Today was the last practice for the drummers in P5/6 and the P6 children from P6/7 as they prepare to set a new World Record tomorrow in Livingston Football Stadium using the African Djembe drums, Doum-Doums, Khasheeshis (sic) and Ghana Bells. 900 children will be attempting to set a new World Record! We are so excited about it! We’ll let you know how we get on tomorrow!

Designing flags and sporting outfits for the Olympics
We learned this week that the Olympic Committee have allowed a refugee team to take part in this year’s Olympic Games. We thought this was a great idea and we decided to design a flag and a national costume for the team. Here are our brilliant designs. What do you think? Please ask us about them if you see us.
Ellen was so busy helping the P3/4 class this week that she only had time to design a flag but she did a beautiful job. Well done, everyone!
